MARITIME COURSES AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL BOATING PUBLIC

NSW Maritime Boating Safety seminar and examination.
Seminar is a pre-requisite for the examination for a NSW Maritime General Boating Licence.
Attendees can sit for the NSW Maritime General Boating Licence at the end of the seminar.
Seminar duration is 2 hours.  Cost $10 
Examination cost is $26

Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA) instruction and examination for the Marine
Radio Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency (MROCP)
A MROCP is required for operators of all marine radios other than the 27 Mhz marine radio.
The instruction and examination duration is 1 day.  Total cost of $145 covers the Marine
Radio Operators Handbook, Australian Maritime College examination cost and the instruction.

Coastal Patrol Member Training
Members receive formal and on-the-job training to be effective volunteers in marine rescue. 
Each member is to completes an INDUCTION Course and then follow a path to Radio Room work or Boat Crew or Both.
Training includes:
Radio Operator
Watch keeping
Search and Rescue Boat Crew
Search and Rescue Boat Skipper
